Division 08 Estimators · Pricing

Commercial Glass & Storefront Estimating Pricing.

Add Estimating Capacity Without Adding Headcount.

Whether you have one bid due or need ongoing estimating capacity, The CCFE Group provides U.S.-based commercial glass and storefront estimating built around the way commercial glazing contractors actually bid work.

Project-Based Estimating Starts at$250

Final pricing depends on project size, complexity, document conditions, glazing package scope, and requested scope.

Pricing Options

Three ways to add commercial glass and storefront estimating capacity.

Project-Based

Project-Based Estimating

Starting at $250

For contractors who need additional estimating capacity for a specific project without making a long-term commitment.

  • Another bid just hit your desk;

  • Your estimating department is overloaded;

  • Several bids are due at the same time;

  • You need an independent estimate;

  • Your team needs additional capacity;

  • The drawings and specifications require a deeper review;

  • You need to bid work outside your current estimating bandwidth.

Every project is reviewed before production begins.

Final pricing is established based on the project documents and requested scope.

Dedicated

Dedicated Estimating Capacity

Custom Pricing

For commercial glazing companies that need consistent estimating capacity without immediately adding another full-time estimator.

Dedicated programs may be structured around:

  • Anticipated bid volume;

  • Project size;

  • Monthly workload;

  • Turnaround expectations;

  • Required estimating capacity;

  • Level of ongoing support.

This is not a generic estimating subscription.  We structure the program around your actual estimating operation.

Complex

Large & Complex Projects

Individually Quoted

Some projects should not be forced into a standard price.

  • Complex storefront packages;

  • Specialty glazing;

  • Multiple bid packages;

  • Significant alternates;

  • Extensive addenda;

  • Incomplete or poorly coordinated documents;

  • Unusual specification requirements;

  • Major scope contradictions;

  • Curtain wall or engineered façade scope;

  • Unusually large document sets.

We review the project first and provide pricing before Services begin.

What You Are Paying For

What You Are Paying For

CCFE is not simply counting glass lites and returning quantities.

Our estimating process is built to help your team understand what it is actually bidding.

Depending on the project and requested Services, that may include:

  • Commercial storefront quantity takeoff;

  • Glass and glazing takeoff;

  • Aluminum entrance takeoff;

  • Drawing and specification review;

  • Scope identification;

  • Glass schedule review;

  • Door schedule review;

  • Document contradiction identification;

  • Alternates review;

  • Addenda review;

  • Specification requirements;

  • Estimator notes;

  • Bid qualifications;

  • Unresolved conditions;

  • Scope-gap identification;

  • Pre-construction intelligence.

The objective is simple: return a project your estimator, project manager, or owner can actually use to make a bid decision.

The Bid Playbook

Every Estimating Project Comes Back With More Than a Takeoff.

The CCFE Bid Playbook

When we say we create the Bid Playbook, that is exactly what we mean.

Every completed estimating project is returned with the information developed during our review so your team can understand the project behind the quantities.

The Bid Playbook is designed to help answer:

  • What are we carrying?

  • What are we not carrying?

  • What needs to be qualified?

  • What do the specifications require?

  • Where do the drawings and specifications conflict?

  • What remains unresolved?

  • What should the estimator know before submitting the bid?

A takeoff tells you how much.  The Bid Playbook helps you understand what you are bidding.

Pricing Factors

What Affects Project Pricing?

Square footage matters.

It is not the only thing that matters.

Pricing may also be affected by:

  • Project size;

  • Number of glazing types;

  • Drawing quality;

  • Specification depth;

  • Storefront complexity;

  • Entrance system complexity;

  • Glass types;

  • Alternates;

  • Addenda;

  • Multiple bid packages;

  • Document contradictions;

  • Incomplete design information;

  • Curtain wall or engineered façade scope;

  • Requested turnaround;

  • Overall estimating complexity.

A smaller complicated project can require more estimating time than a much larger straightforward project.

That is why CCFE reviews the project before establishing final pricing.

No Surprises

No Surprises.

Know the Cost Before We Start

CCFE reviews the project and establishes the applicable fee before production begins.

Payment is required before Services begin.

If the documents materially change after production begins, CCFE will identify any additional Services or pricing before performing the additional work.

We do not expect you to discover the cost after the estimate is complete.

When To Call CCFE

When Should You Call CCFE?

01When another estimator would solve the problem.

02When ten bids are due at once.

03When your estimating department is buried.

04When you are expanding into another market.

05When you need additional national estimating capacity.

06When the drawings are a mess.

07When you want another set of eyes on a bid.

08When you need more than quantities.

That is what we are built for.
