Division 08 Estimators

Commercial Glass & Storefront Estimating

More estimating capacity.  Better scope control.  More bids out the door.

CCFE provides U.S.-based estimating support for commercial glass, glazing, storefront and aluminum entrance contractors.  From storefront elevations and glass schedules to entrance systems, glazing requirements, hardware coordination and addenda, our estimators work through the documents to determine what is actually required before the project reaches your bid.

Commercial storefront entrance with architectural aluminum framing and commercial glazing

Section Two

The Pre-Construction Intelligence Partner for Commercial Glass & Glazing.

Glass bids are not lost on square footage alone.

They are lost in the details.

Glazing estimates can be affected by conditions buried across the documents — not just the glass quantities on a schedule.

This is why CCFE approaches glazing estimating as pre-construction intelligence — not a takeoff line item.

Important Distinction

Storefront Is Not Curtain Wall.

Storefront systems are generally associated with lower-rise, single-span applications.  Curtain wall and other engineered façade systems can have substantially different structural, thermal, drainage, fabrication and installation requirements.

The standard CCFE Commercial Glass & Storefront service does not automatically assume curtain wall is included.  Curtain wall and complex façade systems should be reviewed and scoped separately based on project complexity.

Complex systems deserve a complex-system review, not a storefront assumption.
