02What Makes CCFE Different

CCFE does more than count quantities.

An estimate that only reports quantities leaves the contractor to discover the qualifications, gaps, and unresolved conditions on their own.  The CCFE deliverable is built to close that distance.

  1. 01

    Experienced commercial estimating professionals

Estimators seated in the United States with real commercial construction experience, not a software queue.

  2. 02

    Document-driven scope review

Drawings, specifications, addenda, and schedules are read together, because critical requirements often appear in only one of them.

  3. 03

    Organized quantity information

Quantities are reported in a form a contractor can carry into the bid, with the basis of each measurement traceable to the documents.

  4. 04

    Unresolved conditions identified

What could not be confirmed from the documents is documented as an assumption, a qualification, or a clarification item instead of being silently assumed.

  5. 05

    Actionable estimating deliverables

Estimating files, estimating-level shop drawings, and the CCFE Bid Playbook — the material a bid actually gets built from.

03What You Receive

More Than Quantities.

An estimate should explain more than how much material is shown.  It should help the contractor understand what has been measured, what has been qualified, and which conditions remain unresolved.

Standard Estimating Deliverables

  • Commercial estimating and quantity takeoffs

  • Applicable estimating files, prepared in RFMS Measure or MeasureSquare where the scope uses takeoff software

  • Quantities reporting

  • The CCFE Bid Playbook, included with Division 09 and Division 08 estimating engagements

  • Simple shop drawings documenting estimated material locations, layouts, scope boundaries, and related project conditions

  • Project-specific estimating qualifications

  • Relevant scope and document review

Optional or Separately Contracted

  • Detailed shop drawings, when separately requested and agreed

  • Additional intelligence reporting, such as contract administration intelligence or product and specification intelligence, when separately engaged

  • Large or complex project estimating, individually quoted

Deliverables are defined per engagement.  Not every project receives every report, and nothing outside the agreed scope is delivered automatically.  Simple shop drawings are estimating-level documentation; they are not engineered, sealed, or fabrication-ready drawings.

05How It Works

A Straightforward Process. Professional Results.

Six steps from inquiry to delivered estimate, with scope and pricing agreed before work starts.

  1. 01

    Select Your Service

Choose the service that matches the work: Division 09 flooring and tile estimating, Division 08 glass and storefront estimating, or Compass Global pre-construction intelligence.

  2. 02

    Submit Basic Project Information

Contact details, company, project name and location, the service you are requesting, your bid date if you have one, and a short project description.

  3. 03

    Receive Secure Document Instructions

After the initial conversation, CCFE provides instructions for transferring plans, specifications, and schedules through the approved secure submission process.

  4. 04

    Receive Scope & Pricing Confirmation

CCFE confirms what is included, what is optional, and what the project will cost — before any work begins.

  5. 05

    Approve the Engagement

Estimating begins once the scope, deliverables, and pricing are agreed in writing.

  6. 06

    Receive Your Deliverables

The agreed estimating or intelligence deliverables are delivered for your bid, with the qualifications and open items documented.

Project documents are accepted only through the approved secure submission process.  The inquiry form on this website does not accept confidential plans, specifications, or bid documents.  Secure submission instructions are provided after the initial conversation, so confidential project material is never handled through an ordinary web form.

Submitting an inquiry starts a conversation.  No project work begins until scope, deliverables, and pricing are agreed.

What the Intelligence Produced.

Problem, intelligence, result — from real CCFE engagements.

Pre-Construction Intelligence

Omni Hotels

Problem

More than 4,000 pages of project information contained conflicting design direction and varying product assignments distributed across the project record.  CCFE and SQUARES AI™ connected the relevant information and reduced the issue to a concise three-paragraph finding.

DOCUMENTED OUTCOME

The general contractor subsequently sent CCFE 11 additional awarded projects for review.

Defensible Estimating

Montage Palmetto Bluff

Problem

The project documents established a general sand-and-finish intent for existing heartwood pine but left final quantities, refinishing limits, finish-system requirements, repair thresholds, and several coordination conditions unresolved.

ESTIMATING OUTCOME

CCFE separated defined work from assumptions, exclusions, field-dependent conditions, and scope requiring further direction before pricing was delivered.

Estimating Capacity

TruLine Flooring Contractors

Problem

CCFE provides additional commercial flooring estimating and pre-construction capacity when internal workload exceeds available estimating resources.

PRIMARY TAKEAWAY

Additional estimating capacity without lowering the standard of project review.

The Case of the Missing Building

Problem

A multifamily flooring takeoff involving 433 pages of project documents and a requested 48-hour turnaround revealed a significant discrepancy.  While an experienced estimator completed the takeoff, CCFE’s private AI platforms identified supplemental information suggesting that an entire second building might be missing from the architectural drawings.

DOCUMENTED FINDING

A potential second building involving five floors and 63 residential units required clarification of the intended project scope.
